The Brooks shoe company has been in business since the 1940's, they built their brand of running shoes on motion control. The Brooks Ariel running shoe was built to support runners with low arches as well as the diagonal roll bar especially for overpronators, those runners that suffer from overpronation (when a runner's feet roll inward). As well as thermo-regulation technology (will keep a runners feet cool) as well as "first feel cushioning" that keep feet feeling cushioned and supported for at least 300 miles. The areal also has moisture control, to keep feet dry from sweat.

Brooks Ariel running shoes are good for those that suffer from shin splints as well as knee pain. The Ariel has heel and forefoot shock absorption as well as a wider toebox. It also has MoGo midsole cushioning. This cushioning provides a unique material that is responsive and durable. It provides a springy step even for high making the shoe comfortable for high mileage runs. The cushion of the midsole was added to the latest Ariel.

The heel and the forefoot have the hydroflow feel. The heel and forefoot require added cushioning and protection these two parts of the foot experience the most impact stress when running. To help ensure that that stress is avoided, those two areas are cushioned using the HydroFlow technology.

One of the most unique features of Brooks Ariel running shoes is the extended progressive diagonal roll bar that is used as a maximum support feature that support the runners feet. The extended progressive diagonal roll bar will keep the runners feet in place, that way all unnecessary movement is ceased.

Ariel’s is made from mesh material this is to assist in breathability. It is also made from synthetic leather for durability and comfort. Motion control shoes have been known to be extremely tough on feet depending on the quality of the shoe, feet may feel restricted.
