To provide optimum stability, these shoes are provided with a DuoMax system at the midsoles. This is a hard and sturdy type of foam that prevents feet from rolling excessively inwards, which usually occurs to runners with flat feet. In addition to the DuoMax technology, an Asics' Trusstic system is also installed within the Asics Gel GT 2150. This serves as an additional support and stability feature. This is wrapped around the midsole, right under the arch, and supplied the running shoes with torsional stability on the midfoot area. This enables the heel and toe to stay longitudinally aligned with each other when running; thus, sprained ankles are prevented. The Trusstic system has been innovated with gender considerations. This means that the one used for women's shoes is provided with additional stability that most females need since they usually pronate more because of their wider arch angle.
The Asics GT 2150 has been made to focus on providing the runner with a good fit. The outer feature has been modified with the placement of a couple of support overlays. These upgrades help prevent bunions. The heel collar of the shoe has also been lowered. This part of the shoe is also provided with a ComfortDry Sockliner that gives additional cushioning underneath the runner’s foot. This is also treated with a certain antimicrobial material that helps prevent bad foot odors. Lastly, the heel collar is padded nicely with memory foam that provides the runners with maximum comfort.
